PDF Split

PDF Split extracts only the pages you need from a PDF, and downloads them as a new PDF, free and in your browser. You choose a page range, and the tool keeps just those pages.

Most PDFs contain more pages than you actually need to send. Splitting lets you share only the relevant chapter, form, or section, without sending the whole document. That is useful for privacy as well as for file size: the pages you do not include are not in the downloaded file at all. The split is done locally, so the original document is never uploaded.

Count the pages carefully before you split, because page numbers in a PDF do not always match the numbers printed on the pages themselves. Check the total page count shown by the tool, then type the range you want. If you need several separate ranges, split them one at a time.

Privacy: this tool runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no signup, and your files never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF to keep only the first few pages?

Open the PDF in the tool, note the total page count, and type a range such as 1 to 5. The tool will keep only those pages and download them as a new PDF, leaving your original file unchanged.

Can I split a PDF into several separate files at once?

This tool extracts one range at a time. For several separate ranges, run the split once for each range you need, using the same original file each time.

Does splitting a PDF change the remaining pages?

No. The pages you keep are copied unchanged into the new PDF. Text, images and layout stay as they were in the original, and the pages you do not keep are simply left out.

Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?

No. Splitting happens in your browser only. The file never leaves your device, and nothing is saved after you close the page.
