Discount Calculator
Discount Calculator works out the real price after a discount, and how much you save, free and in your browser. You enter the original price and the discount, and it can also handle a second discount applied after the first.

Discounts are often shown as a percentage, but the saving in money terms is what matters for a budget. A second discount is trickier, because it is applied to the already-discounted price, not to the original price, so two discounts of 20% do not add up to 40% off. This tool handles that correctly, showing the final price and the total saving in one place.
Check whether a discount is applied before or after tax and delivery, because the final amount you pay may differ from the discounted price shown here. This tool calculates the discount itself; tax, delivery, and other charges are separate.
Privacy: this tool runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no signup, and your files never leave your device.
The real maths of a sale — how much you will actually pay after the discount and how much you saved. You can apply a second extra discount at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
How do I work out a 20% discount on 1,000?
Multiply 1,000 by 20 and divide by 100 to get a saving of 200, so the final price is 800. This tool does that calculation for you, and it also shows the saving separately so you can check it.
Why do two 20% discounts not add up to 40% off?
Because the second discount is applied to the already-discounted price, not to the original price. After the first 20% off, a price of 1,000 becomes 800, and 20% off 800 is 160, giving a final price of 640, which is 36% off in total, not 40%.
What is the difference between a discount and a saving?
They are the same amount in money terms, just described differently. The discount is the percentage taken off, and the saving is that percentage expressed in money. This tool shows both, so you can see the percentage and the cash amount together.
Are my prices uploaded or saved?
No. Calculation happens in your browser only. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is saved after you close the page.
