This tool changes every occurrence at once, and the case option lets you control whether capitalisation matters, so you do not accidentally change a word that only looks similar.
Check the result after replacing, especially when the word you replaced is part of other words. Replacing 'art' without care could also change 'start' and 'heart', so use the case and whole-word sense of your text to judge whether the replacements are all correct.

Does Find & Replace change every occurrence?
Yes, it replaces all occurrences in the text you paste in. If you only want some occurrences changed, replace them in smaller sections of text, or check the result and undo any replacement you did not want.
What does case-sensitive mean?
Case-sensitive means capital letters matter: 'Apple' and 'apple' are treated as different words. If case-sensitivity is off, they are treated as the same, so both will be replaced. Choose the option that matches your text.
Can Find & Replace change part of a word?
Yes, it will replace the find term wherever it appears, including inside other words, unless you have checked the result carefully. That is why a quick read-through after replacing is worth doing.
Is my text uploaded when I use Find & Replace?
No. Replacement happens in your browser only. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is saved after you close the page.
