Markdown Preview lets you write in Markdown and watch the formatted result build live beside it — headings, bold, lists, quotes and code — then copy the HTML. It is the fastest way to learn Markdown and to prepare text for blogs, GitHub and documents.
I wrote a heading but it shows as normal text. Why?
Markdown is picky about two things: the # must be at the very start of the line, and there must be a space after it — '# Heading' works, '#Heading' does not. The live preview makes such slips easy to spot and fix.
Where is Markdown actually used?
GitHub READMEs, many blogs and note apps, Reddit and Discord messages, documentation, and increasingly AI chat tools. A little Markdown skill pays off in all of them.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. The Markdown Preview is completely free, needs no account and nothing to install — it runs in your browser, and anything you type stays on your device.
