The Discount Calculator does the real maths of a sale: the price you will actually pay after a discount, and the money you save. It can also apply a second, extra discount on top — the way '50% + 20% off' offers really work.
Is 50% + 20% off the same as 70% off?
No — the second discount applies to the already-reduced price. Rs 1,000 → 50% off = Rs 500 → 20% off = Rs 400. The total saving is 60%, not 70%. Sequential discounts always add up to less than their sum.
How do I check if a 'sale price' is honest?
Enter the MRP and the advertised discount — the final price should match the tag. If it does not, either the discount was calculated on a higher 'original' price, or there is an error worth questioning.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. The Discount Calculator is completely free, needs no account and nothing to install — it runs in your browser, and anything you type stays on your device.
