What opacity should a watermark use?
Around 20–35% is the sweet spot for a diagonal watermark: clearly visible, but the document underneath stays easy to read. For a bottom line like a name or date, you can use a higher opacity since it sits in the margin.
Can the stamped text be removed later?
The text becomes part of each page in the new PDF, so it cannot be peeled off casually — that is the point of a watermark. Keep your unstamped original if you need a clean copy.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
